I am a Canadian ex-Muslim. In Part 1 of this series, I addressed the cult-like nature of Mohammedanism and the harsh realities of Islamic apostasy. In this segment, I will address the permissibility of rape in Islamic theology.

Rape and pedophilia are considered by most human beings to be the worst of crimes. And yet sadly, Islam’s most revered and authoritative texts (the Qur’an, hadiths and sira), confirmed by the perverse behaviour of Muhammad, the prophet of Islam (the model for Muslim believers to emulate – cf. Qur’an 33:21), record that both rape and pedophilia are permissible for Muslims.

The penalty for blasphemy against “Allah and His Prophet” is typically death in Muslim-majority countries. Fortunately, I do not live in a Sharia state or a Muslim-majority country, or I would be hung from the nearest tree by the Islamic government or a Muslim mob, for the crime of leaving Islam.

The freedom of speech is now under constant attack in Canada and other non-Islamic nations by Muslim activists and their clueless non-Muslim enablers, but it has thus far been able to survive, despite many false charges of racism, bigotry and “Islamophobia” being bandied about.

Articles critical of Islam, such as this one, rarely see the light of day in Muslim-majority nations. Sharia censorship and the penalty of death prescribed for the authors of such articles is the reason why.

The Permissibility of Rape in Islam:

The Qur’anic justification for rape is made clear in its many verses that inform Muslims that Infidel women can be lawfully taken for sexual use, which refer to such women as being “captives of the right hand.” Clearly, the phrase “captives of the right hand” refers to Infidel women owned by their Muslim masters. The obvious implication is that these Infidel women have no choice in the matter, and hence can be raped at will by their Muslim masters.

"And if you fear that you will not deal justly with the orphan girls, then marry those that please you of [other] women, two or three or four. But if you fear that you will not be just, then [marry only] one or those your right hand possesses. That is more suitable that you may not incline [to injustice]." (Qur’an 4:3)
"And [also prohibited to you are all] married women except those your right hands possess. [This is] the decree of Allah upon you. And lawful to you are [all others] beyond these, [provided] that you seek them [in marriage] with [gifts from] your property, desiring chastity, not unlawful sexual intercourse. So for whatever you enjoy [of marriage] from them, give them their due compensation as an obligation. And there is no blame upon you for what you mutually agree to beyond the obligation. Indeed, Allah is ever Knowing and Wise." (Qur’an 4:24)
"Certainly the believers have succeeded: They who are during their prayer humbly submissive, and they who turn away from ill speech, and they who are observant of zakah, and they who guard their private parts, except from their wives or those their right hands possess, for indeed, they will not be blamed." (Qur’an 23:1-6)
"O Prophet, indeed We have made lawful to you your wives to whom you have given their due compensation and those your right hand possesses from what Allah has returned to you [of captives] and the daughters of your paternal uncles and the daughters of your paternal aunts and the daughters of your maternal uncles and the daughters of your maternal aunts who emigrated with you and a believing woman if she gives herself to the Prophet [and] if the Prophet wishes to marry her, [this is] only for you, excluding the [other] believers. We certainly know what We have made obligatory upon them concerning their wives and those their right hands possess, [but this is for you] in order that there will be upon you no discomfort. And ever is Allah Forgiving and Merciful." (Qur’an 33:50)

According to Islam’s most revered and authoritative texts, Muhammad, the prophet of Islam, is known to have raped at least two Infidel women during his lifetime, Safiyah and Juwairiyah:

Sahih Bukhari Volume 1, Book 8, Number 367:

"Narrated ‘Abdul ‘Aziz:
Anas said, ‘When Allah’s Apostle invaded Khaibar, we offered the Fajr prayer there yearly in the morning) when it was still dark. The Prophet rode and Abu Talha rode too and I was riding behind Abu Talha. The Prophet passed through the lane of Khaibar quickly and my knee was touching the thigh of the Prophet. He uncovered his thigh and I saw the whiteness of the thigh of the Prophet. When he entered the town, he said, ‘Allahu Akbar! Khaibar is ruined. Whenever we approach near a (hostile) nation (to fight) then evil will be the morning of those who have been warned.’ He repeated this thrice. The people came out for their jobs and some of them said, ‘Muhammad (has come).’ (Some of our companions added, “With his army.”) We conquered Khaibar, took the captives, and the booty was collected. Dihya came and said, ‘O Allah’s Prophet! Give me a slave girl from the captives.’ The Prophet said, ‘Go and take any slave girl.’ He took Safiya bint Huyai. A man came to the Prophet and said, ‘O Allah’s Apostles! You gave Safiya bint Huyai to Dihya and she is the chief mistress of the tribes of Quraiza and An-Nadir and she befits none but you.’ So the Prophet said, ‘Bring him along with her.’ So Dihya came with her and when the Prophet saw her, he said to Dihya, ‘Take any slave girl other than her from the captives.’ Anas added: The Prophet then manumitted her and married her.
Thabit asked Anas, 'O Abu Hamza! What did the Prophet pay her (as Mahr)?' He said, 'Her self was her Mahr for he manumitted her and then married her.' Anas added, 'While on the way, Um Sulaim dressed her for marriage (ceremony) and at night she sent her as a bride to the Prophet. So the Prophet was a bridegroom and he said, ‘Whoever has anything (food) should bring it.’ He spread out a leather sheet (for the food) and some brought dates and others cooking butter. (I think he (Anas) mentioned As-SawTq). So they prepared a dish of Hais (a kind of meal). And that was Walima (the marriage banquet) of Allah’s Apostle." (Sahih Bukhari 1.367)

Sunan Abu Dawud 29:3920:

"Narrated Aisha, Ummul Mu’minin: Juwayriyyah, daughter of al-Harith ibn al-Mustaliq, fell to the lot of Thabit ibn Qays ibn Shammas, or to her cousin. She entered into an agreement to purchase her freedom. She was a very beautiful woman, most attractive to the eye. Aisha said: She then came to the Apostle of Allah (peace be upon him) asking him for the purchase of her freedom. When she was standing at the door, I looked at her with disapproval. I realised that the Apostle of Allah (peace be upon him) would look at her in the same way that I had looked. She said: Apostle of Allah, I am Juwayriyyah, daughter of al-Harith, and something has happened to me, which is not hidden from you. I have fallen to the lot of Thabit ibn Qays ibn Shammas, and I have entered into an agreement to purchase of my freedom. I have come to you to seek assistance for the purchase of my freedom. The Apostle of Allah (peace be upon him) said: Are you inclined to that which is better? She asked: What is that, Apostle of Allah? He replied: I shall pay the price of your freedom on your behalf, and I shall marry you. She said: I shall do this. She (Aisha) said: The people then heard that the Apostle of Allah (peace be upon him) had married Juwayriyyah. They released the captives in their possession and set them free, and said: They are the relatives of the Apostle of Allah (peace be upon him) by marriage. We did not see any woman greater than Juwayriyyah who brought blessings to her people. One hundred families of Banu al-Mustaliq were set free on account of her."

This hadith confirms the hadith above — Sahih Bukhari, Volume 3, Book 46, Number 717:

"Narrated Ibn Aun: I wrote a letter to Nafi and Nafi wrote in reply to my letter that the Prophet had suddenly attacked Bani Mustaliq without warning while they were heedless and their cattle were being watered at the places of water. Their fighting men were killed and their women and children were taken as captives; the Prophet got Juwairiya on that day. Nafi said that Ibn ‘Umar had told him the above narration and that Ibn ‘Umar was in that army."

According to many of Islam’s most sacred texts, Muhammad, the prophet of Islam, was not only a rapist, but also a confirmed pedophile:

Sahih Bukhari Vol.7, Book 62, No.88:

"Narrated ‘Ursa: The Prophet wrote the (marriage contract) with ‘Aisha while she was six years old and consummated his marriage with her while she was nine years old and she remained with him for nine years (i.e. till his death)."

Sadly, as mentioned above, Muslims are taught in the supposedly perfect Qur’an that Muhammad is the model man who is to be emulated in every instance:

"There has certainly been for you in the Messenger of Allah an excellent pattern for anyone whose hope is in Allah and the Last Day and [who] remembers Allah often." (Qur’an 33:21)
